Testimonials
“Pj worked for me on the feature film American Beauty, which I directed in 1999. In his capacity as Avid assistant, he helped me during a difficult transitional period between editors, and in that showed himself to be a gifted editor in his own right. His skill in Avid is very great indeed; he thinks fast, his artistic judgment is extremely fine and he is a positive presence in the cutting room. I would not hesitate to strongly recommend him as your editor, as he is a worthy candidate.”
SAM MENDES, DIRECTOR “AMERICAN BEAUTY”, “SKYFALL”
“Pj’s work as VFX editor on ‘Masters of the Air’ was essentially that of an uncredited editor. His experience affords him an understanding of story, motive, character emotion, editorial blocking and the language of cinema, without which I could never have completed my involvement on the project.”
MARK SANGER, EDITOR “MASTERS OF THE AIR”
“We needed an editor who had the intellect, organizational skills, and expertise to capably handle the daily workflow of managing 12,000 hours of plates, 50 hours of previz, and 10 hours worth of VFX shots. There just are not many editors with the patience, professionalism, and mental fortitude to work effectively within our monstrous production environment, and we were incredibly fortunate to have Pj as such a productive, stable and reassuring force throughout Production and Post.”
STEPHEN ROSENBAUM, VFX SUPERVISOR “MASTERS OF THE AIR”
“His input was invaluable and he made what could have been a total nightmare run as smoothly as we could have possibly hoped. For that alone I will always be hugely grateful... if you have the opportunity to hire him on your project and you don’t, you are making a massive mistake.”
NICK HIRSCHKORN, PRODUCER “JONATHAN STRANGE & MR NORRELL”
“He has a strong sense of storytelling and brought a lot to the picture in the overall story arc as well as in the details of each scene. He was a great sounding board for my doubts, ideas and hopes. Our discussions were very helpful to clarify some of the most complex aspects of the movie.”
MANU BOYER, DIRECTOR “TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN”
"Given the opportunity PJ could in my view turn his hand to anything in film making and make it into a success. He is definitely the first person I would call should I need to put an editing team together."
NIVEN HOWIE, EDITOR “THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY”
"Pj was a true professional, pleasure to work with, and an invaluable addition to the show. From his C.V. you will see that he has worked on tentpole $100 million dollar budget US releases to a number of smaller, more budgetary challenged television projects. We have no doubt that Pj would be an asset to any project large or small."
KEVIN BLANK, VFX SUPERVISOR “CHILDHOOD'S END”
